ALARA is a personal safety device that takes discreet forms such as jewelry and accessories. Designed to accompany you at all times, it integrates advanced technology in a small and easy-to-use format. It works as a panic button that, with just a double click, sends an alert along with your location to your 5 emergency contacts.

Using ALARA is simple:

1. Take your ALARA with you: Wear it as a necklace, bracelet, keychain, scrunchie, just like any daily accessory.
2. Activate the alert: If you are in an emergency situation, double-press the device.
3. Auto Send: ALARA will send a text message with your location in real time for 24 hours to the five contacts you have previously registered.

ALARA is ideal for situations where you are looking for peace of mind and protection. You can use your personal security device to:

• Reduce anxiety when walking alone or in public spaces.
• Send a quick alert to your trusted contacts in case of emergency.
• Feel accompanied on trips, night trips or when using public transport.

The battery has an estimated life of up to 12 months, depending on use. It requires no charging and can be easily replaced with a CR1220 battery.

The device uses a lithium battery type CR1220, highly efficient and easy to access in electronics stores and department stores.

An “alert” or “alert state” is the period of time between pressing ALARA and the alert stopping. During this period your location will be shared in real time with your emergency contacts and you will receive updates about their response in the App.

When you create an alert, a text message is sent to emergency contacts with a link. This link leads to a web page with a map that shows the user's real-time location. In addition to this, contacts will be faced with a dichotomous question about whether they can provide help to the user or not. If the contact selects yes, this response will be displayed in the user's App.

If you do not stop the alert manually from the App, it will stop automatically after 24 hours. When the alert stops, emergency contacts stop seeing your real-time location but will still have access to your last recorded location for 1 week in the same link they received via text message.

You can send up to 3 daily alerts with service included. If you need more, we will soon offer a premium version with unlimited alerts.

Emergency contacts will only see your location in real time while an alert is active. That is, from the moment you press the panic button and the SMS is sent until you stop the alert in the App. If you didn't remember to stop the alert, don't worry! Alerts automatically stop after 24 hours.

An emergency can occur at any time, therefore it is necessary that ALARA always have access to your location. However, ALARA is not constantly viewing your location. It only accesses your location when you press the panic button until you stop the alert from the App. The same applies to emergency contacts.

Yes, the ALARA device works anywhere in the world as long as your cell phone has a signal and internet access.

ALARA works best with newer iPhones and Android phones.
